The Social Media Manager is a remote work position that will coordinate all ongoing social media content creation and community management for coLAB Arts. The Social Media Manager will maintain a consistent content voice that’s representative of the organization and its values. The Social Media Manager will drive online conversations within the organization’s audience, and manage all direct messages and public correspondence. The Social Media Manager will coordinate a team of volunteers and administrative interns and reports to the Producing Director. This job is best suited for someone who is enthusiastic about building audiences and brand awareness for artists and organizers, and helps them thrive in creating high quality work and real community impact.

Duties and Responsibilities

Compensation: $500/month, 30 hours per month

Position Responsibilities Include:
Manage coLAB Arts’ virtual platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, and Patreon
Weekly content creation and posting in support of campaigns for coLAB Arts’ virtual and in person programming
Graphic design
Video editing
Audience engagement across social media platforms
Regular auditing of all platform analytics and drafting quarterly reports

Physical Expectations:
Personal computer


B.A. degree or equivalent, with at least 1 year of professional social media management experience
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong computer skills
Strong experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Patreon
Strong experience with Hootsuite, G-Suite, Google Drive, and Mailchimp
Graphic design experience with Canva, Illustrator, or InDesign
Video editing experience with platform of preference
Detail-oriented with organization, project management, and time management skills
Ability to perform a substantial number of tasks independently
Ability to work cooperatively, foster team spirit, and maintain a positive demeanor
Commitment to the vision and values of coLAB Arts
