The Digital Archivist and Research Associate is a remote work position reporting directly to the Producing Director, that will coordinate all web layout work for coLAB Arts’ oral history archive, including transcription, annotation, and associated media. This position will also, at times, be responsible for producing historical and social context research in relation to an oral history’s annotations or as overall statements for archive projects. This job is best suited for someone who is enthusiastic about digital public humanities work, and thrives working independently.

Duties and Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities Include:
Manage coLAB Arts’ website layout work for its public oral history archive
Self-manage running deliverable list and report on weekly progress
Produce well researched social and historical context annotations for coLAB Arts’ oral history archive

Requirements

Physical Expectations:
Personal computer

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
B.A. degree, Masters preferred
Experience with a website content management system such as Squarespace, Wix, or Wordpress
Strong research skills and experience
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with organization, project management, and time management skills
Commitment to the vision and values of coLAB Arts
