Essex County Teen Arts Coordinator Job Description
Plan, organize, and execute the Essex County Teen Arts Festival. Coordinate festival logistics including hiring of teaching artists and adjudicators, communicating with schools, overseeing school registration, adjudication submissions, planning out workshop and adjudication schedules, media coverage, maintaining the festival website, and communicating with the NJ State Festival.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities as County Coordinator:
• Work closely with Essex County Division of Cultural Affairs to establish a Teen Arts Festival that meets that highest standards.
• Organize meetings for the County Representatives and write agendas.
• Email, copy and disseminate all documents.
• Secure space for the County Festival.
• An official account must be set up for collection of dues and distribution of payments
from participating schools in the County.
• Coordinate with State Teen Arts Organization.
• Hire judges within the field to jury the County Festival.
• Buy ribbons, medals, plaques, and prizes.
• Create and annually update Guidelines and Duty List and distribute.
• Design and distribute labels for the exhibitions.
• Assist in curating, hanging, and taking down all exhibitions.
• Coordinate Tally Sheets and Ribbons/Certificates for County Awards Ceremony.
• Print and display Brochure of Awards Winners for Ceremony.
• Organize the labels for State Teen Arts.
• Set-up and Take-down State Teen Arts.
Other Duties and Responsibilities as Assigned.
