Reports to: Director of Finance

The Business Manager supports the Finance Department in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. Responsibilities include accounts payable, bank deposits, payroll administration, clerical duties, bookkeeping tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance. The Business Manager works closely across all departments to help ensure financial and administrative efficiencies in an effort to help create stability towards continued growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
- Perform all work in a manner that is consistent with Two River’s core values, including our commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Maintain accurate internal controls and financial procedures ensuring legal and regulatory compliance with GAAP. Identify and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and internal control of our processes.
- Preparing and creating journal entries. Daily reviewing and posting of journal entries and deposits, as well as accounts payable.
- Making money deposits and overseeing merchant credit card deposits and fees & reconciliations
- Supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
- Serving as account manager for Business credit cards
- Payroll administration and management
- Other bookkeeping tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance

Accounts Payable:
Handling of Accounts Payable responsibilities which include processing of invoices and cutting of checks in a timely manner. Process monthly invoices and logging all administrative purchase orders, check requests and expense reimbursements. Posting and mailing all check payments on a weekly basis. Receipt tracking, collection, petty cash reconciliation and inputting for all staff business credit cards.

Finance:
Handling of checks and cash bank deposits to bank. Distributing incoming checks and invoices to various departments and processing incoming admin invoices. Distribute P&L reports to senior managers on a monthly basis.

Payroll:
Lead liaison to payroll vendor. Lead automated onboarding process for new hires. Maintaining employee records and personnel reports. Weekly entering and administration of payroll and G/L entry for ALL staff, cast & crew, including 1099's. Annual 1099 processing and W-4 administration. Includes Paid Time Off management and general pay administration for employees. Year End reporting.

Administration:
Clerical tasks, including electronic and paper filing, receiving packages. Participate in document collection and preparation for the annual audit. Maintain copy room supplies and manage returns. Postage meter refill. Other duties as assigned and tasks related to special organizational projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in financial management and/or business management.
- Accounting training or experience a plus
- Proficiency with Accounting software. Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Paychex a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Bookkeeping Experience (3 years)
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced performing arts environment, excellent oral and written communication skills and high ethical standards
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Proof of full Covid vaccination

Compensation: Salary range $50,000 - $55,000. Benefits package includes medical, vision, dental and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, paid vacation, personal time and a 403 (b) retirement plan.
