ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE ARTS:
Final Retreat Report & Digital Resource Guide
ArtPride New Jersey dedicated its 2025 organizational retreat to exploring artificial intelligence and its implications for our organization and the arts community we serve. Facilitated by Amy Fiore and Krishna Powell of The Bixel Group, the retreat focused on AI’s possibilities, limitations, and the questions that should guide its responsible use.
The retreat brought an organizational perspective to issues that extend across the arts: how AI might support our work, how its use could affect artists and cultural workers, and how to protect creativity, trust, and human judgment as technology evolves. We are sharing the accompanying report to contribute to continued learning and discussion across New Jersey’s arts community. Published Oct 2026

ArtsPay NJ 2025
ArtsPay NJ is a long-term initiative to advance pay equity in New Jersey’s arts sector. Surveys conducted in 2023 and 2025 collected compensation data from nonprofit arts organizations and individual artists, providing a snapshot of current pay levels and changes over time. The findings identify areas of inequity and establish a baseline for measuring progress in future years.
The project is coordinated and funded by New Jersey’s statewide arts service organizations and managed by Baker Richards, a UK-based arts research firm with extensive experience studying compensation in the arts.
