The Marketing Content Designer’s primary focus will be to provide, creative, and strategic support for the Marketing department with the creation of different email campaigns. This position will serve as a creative problem solver who brings a fresh approach to the team. The ideal candidate will be passionate and highly collaborative and someone who is able to take ideas from conception through execution. This position will work closely with the Marketing Creative Director and the rest of the team to assist in a wide range of projects as needed. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates interested in learning about the many functions of a marketing department and strengthening skills in areas they’re most enthusiastic about.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage McCarter’s Email Marketing using Prospect 2, including copywriting and designing. The emails will need to be created from concept to execution, creating all assets including graphics, GIFs and more to provide a different look to each campaign
• Creation of digital ads for McCarter’s paid campaigns and website graphic needs
• Research media and community engagement opportunities
• Strong copy writing skills
• Provide Graphic Design support for Social Media Manager when needed
• Assist with coordination and maintenance of marketing materials around the building
• Provide support to update website content when needed
• Participate in content creation including copywriting, campaign planning, social media, promotional offers, and video/photoshoots
• Participate in the work to make McCarter an anti-racist theater. Actively seek ways to improve our work practices to make the Marketing Department and McCarter as a whole more Equitable and Inclusive

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an agency or inhouse creative environment with special focus on design and production of print media
• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in graphic design or related field
• Portfolio or website showcasing style across media
• Highly proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to set priorities, work collaboratively, and take initiative
• Ability to work in an on-site/off-site hybrid environment
• Strong EDIA and antiracism critical consciousness or curiosity and willingness to grow in these areas
