Grounds For Sculpture is seeking a part-time, (busy season is April thru November) Senior Event Assistant for our Rentals Department. The Senior Event Assistant reports directly to the Manager of Events. The Senior Event Assistant is responsible to help assist in the events facilitated at Grounds For Sculpture. At times, this position will be the point of contact during an event. This position will have working knowledge of policies, procedures and the organizational mission when communicating with clients in order to deliver goals and agreed upon expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome event client and guests into Grounds For Sculpture, assist with crowd control, and answer all questions and requests with the highest level of customer service throughout the duration of the event

• Greet and monitor vendors and assist with load in set up or load out break down needs

• Assists with proper guest parking, shuttles and uber arrivals

• Supports and mentors Event Assistant staff during an event

• Safely operates golf cart to transport guests

• Complete opening and closing procedure checklists and tasks assigned

• Assist with daily event details and responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and handle any issues that arise, report to event management.

• Responsible for ensuring the safety of our staff, volunteers, and guests

• Assist with day of decision making such as rain plan for outdoor events

• Must attend monthly staff meeting and trainings

• Serve as an ambassador for Grounds For Sculpture to help foster a culture of inclusion for all members, donors, volunteers, and guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma

• 2 or more years work related experience in a related field

• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and be flexible with schedule; willing to work in various temperatures

• Spanish fluency encouraged

• Demonstrate respect and inclusiveness to all employees, embracing differences

• Proven exceptional customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail

• Must be a motivated self-starter who can work independently with minimal guidance

• Comfortable with public speaking
