This position is responsible for ensuring that all hardware, software, AV, printing, telephony, videoconferencing, and digital programming streaming needs are met for McCarter Theater Center following McCarter Theatre policies, procedures, and deadlines. This includes maintaining the functionality of all computing equipment and software, enforcing all information security policies and compliance requirements of McCarter Theatre Center and the Princeton University Office of Information Technology. The position will also administer Office 365, including email, SharePoint and Teams. Will provide technical support to end users within a client/server operation in Windows and Mac OS platforms, printer support, and is responsible for configuring and installing networked hardware and software.

Duties and Responsibilities

Principal Job Responsibilities
• Support of desktops and laptops for Mac OS X and Windows systems; troubleshooting and configuration of laptops and desktop machines, utilizing KACE, and other installation methods.
• Provide technical and computing support to Production department for non-networked computers and especially MAC OS systems.
• Ensure systems are kept in required configuration profile, including: back-up, patch maintenance, changes as required by evolution of production environments, updating software and hardware configurations.
• Order, install and configure all new computer systems, software, printers, ticket scanners, laptops, projectors, point of sale systems and other computing-related devices and surplus old equipment.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and consumables (printer toner, etc.) and order new equipment and supplies as necessary.
• Coordinate end-user setup and training, advise and train staff in evolving technologies.
• Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures, promote user security, maintain computer system security, backup and restoration of user data.
• Manage and support Office 365, including email, SharePoint and Teams
• Provide A/V support, including setup of digital signage equipment and computers, data projectors etc.
• Provide technical support for digital programming, including live-streaming and on-demand streaming, digital classes etc.
• Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate business equipment leasing (printers, copiers, mail machine) as well as liaise with Princeton University OIT for requisition of telephone setup etc.
• Manage daily support requests while being on-call for urgent system issues and support requests outside regular business hours
• Enrollment in the Princeton University SCAD program and attendance at monthly SCAD/DCS meetings and technical training sessions to keep abreast with technology changes at the University is required.
• Attend all IT training sessions required by the Director of IT, as well as institutionally required professional development opportunities
• Maintain consistent awareness of institutional events, meetings, and other information via company email and other modes of communication.
• Adhere to safe working practices and follow all McCarter safety and code of conduct policies
• Participate in the work to make McCarter an antiracist theater. Actively seek ways to improve our work practices to make the IT Department and McCarter as a whole more Equitable and Inclusive

Requirements

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Experience administering Windows, Mac OS X workstations.
• Experience administering Microsoft Office and Office 365
• Understanding and experience with general networking architectures and configurations.
• Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Exemplary customer service, attitude and strong initiative.
• Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, twist, bend and work in awkward positions.
• Ability to work in an on-site/off-site hybrid environment
• Strong EDIA and antiracism critical consciousness or curiosity and willingness to grow in these areas
• Start date is contingent upon providing proof of having received a primary series vaccination against COVID-19; subsequent boosters are strongly encouraged, though not required.

Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years related experience in an academic or performing arts environment
