The Count Basie Center for the Arts, in the ever-growing and beautiful downtown Red Bank, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced full time Major Gifts Officer to support the Development Department.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) is a frontline fundraiser responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of individual donors with the capacity to make gifts of $5,000 and above. The MGO plays a key role in advancing the Basie’s mission and strategic priorities, including implementing strategies to increase contributions to the Basie Center Giving Circle, Century Club, and Planned Giving Program from high-net-worth individuals and family foundations.

The Development Manager is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Director of Advancement. This role is pivotal in executing GSP’s annual fundraising strategy, with a strong emphasis on cultivation and stewardship events. In addition, this position manages donor benefit fulfillment, departmental operations, recordkeeping, and communications to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the Advancement department.

The Development Associate is a strong communicator and capable not-for-profit professional with experience in fundraising or marketing. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Development Associate is capable of working independently as well as collaboratively as a contributing member of our team. A strong candidate for this position will have excellent administrative skills and CRM experience. This position plays a vital role in advancing our mission while gaining opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Development Associate is a key member of SOPAC's development team, supporting the Director of Development and grant writer, and assisting generally with all fundraising functions and maintaining development operations. This position offers comprehensive experience across membership, grants, events, and operations. The ideal candidate should have an overall interest in arts management (though specific experience is not necessary), as this role collaborates with various departments to support SOPAC's mission including marketing, patron services, production, and more.
