Position Summary: STNJ is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee two performance venues, a 50,000 sq. ft. support facility, and some aspects of artist housing.
This position will handle the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of multiple facilities, both personally and/or with the aid of outside vendors. Repairs; inspections; capital projects; and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems all fall under the Facilities Manager’s purview. The three different sites of responsibility are located within ten minutes of each other in the towns of Madison and Florham Park.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Basic repairs and maintenance
• Coordination and oversight of repairs and maintenance performed by outside vendors, technicians or contractors
• Oversight of janitorial staff and landscaping/snow removal company
• Generate facilities inspections and reports
• Obtains bids and reviews prices for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects
• Manages vendor relationships
• Manages capital projects.
• Works with senior staff to budget capital projects and all facility expense lines in annual budget
• Creates a master plan to address needed repairs and replacements on an annual basis for both venues and equipment
• Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Qualifications:
• High School diploma and further technical education required; engineering degree or experience is a plus
• Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience working with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• Familiarity with local vendors and contractors a plus
• Competent and comfortable with computer systems
• Driver’s license required, and experience driving vans and/or large trucks is a plus
