The Marketing & Communications Manager leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies that elevate Morris Arts’ visibility and strengthen engagement with diverse audiences. This role oversees brand storytelling, digital communications, media relations, and content creation to support programs, fundraising, community outreach, and organizational priorities. Working collaboratively with Marketing and Events and Program personnel, the Marketing and Communications Manager ensures that Morris Arts communicates clearly, consistently, and effectively through all channels.


Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications Strategy
• Create, implement, and measure the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations program that enhances Morris Arts’ image and supports organizational goals .
• Develop integrated marketing campaigns for programs, fundraising efforts, and major events including CREB, AIE Showcase, Great Conversations, Giralda, and Pumpkin Illumination.
• Work with program staff to design communication strategies and messaging that support departmental and organizational objectives.
Digital Communications & Content Creation
• Lead strategy and generation of engaging digital content for the website, social media, and email platforms, driving measurable engagement and action.
• Manage all social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), including content planning, posting, monitoring, and community interaction.
• Capture and curate photographs and video content to support storytelling and marketing needs.
• Produce multimedia content including videos, testimonials, graphics, and other digital assets that build brand awareness and engagement.
• Write and design email communications in Constant Contact for events, programs, and fundraising initiatives.

Graphic Design & Publications
• Design and produce high-quality print and digital collateral including brochures, ad journals, postcards, posters, programs, newsletters, and event signage.
• Use Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Pages, Publisher, and related tools to develop marketing graphics and materials
• Hire any contractors for marketing and communications work; create contracts, collect documents and submit contracts for payment.
• Oversee the editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all publications and promotional materials.

Website Management
• Maintain the Morris Arts website, ensuring up-to-date content, accessible design, and alignment with branding.
• Oversee and help negotiate website support agreements or enhancements to the existing site.
• Develop and update website banners, articles, event listings, and other content.

Media Relations & Public Outreach
• Generate and coordinate media interest in Morris Arts; maintain regular communication with target media and respond to media requests.
• Serve as the organization’s primary media representative and public spokesperson when appropriate.
• Write and distribute press releases; cultivate and maintain relationships with press contacts.
• Work collaboratively with community partner to help promote and cross market initiatives or events

Cross-Department Collaboration
• Collaborate with Development staff on fundraising appeals, special event promotions, and sponsorship communications.
• Work with contracted vendors such as photographers, videographers, and graphic designers to support marketing objectives.

Reporting & Evaluation
• Develop and present reports on marketing campaigns, including metrics for social media performance, email analytics, web activity, event registrations, and ad outcomes.
• Analyze results and provide recommendations to strengthen future marketing strategies and engagement.

Requirements

* 1 - 2 years of marketing experience

* In person 3 or 5 days a week. Currently in office 3 days / work from home Mon. and Fri.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Experience with non profit organizations a plus

* Teamwork and collaboration skills with coworkers and partners


* Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook), Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and InDesign

Between $55,000 - $60,000 depending on experience
